Local Events
In the tradition of small towns, the Upper Perkiomen Valley hosts an abundance of seasonal fairs and picnics sponsored by churches, fire companies, and civic organizations. Dates vary but if you love peaches, strawberries, pancakes, ice cream, funnel cakes, and music, you’ll be happy here. For added entertainment, the Valley boasts the presence of a full-service historic theater. The Grand Theater, built in 1924 and fully restored in 2005, features current films, community events, classic films, and a rare Marr & Colton theater pipe organ. A reliable resource for ongoing events is another of our rare community treasures, an independently-owned, weekly newspaper: Town & Country. Visitors and residents can enjoy annual events celebrated throughout the year.
