PerkUp is an initiative of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce. It began as an informal private and public partnership of community leaders working together to develop a plan for economic growth and community development in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. The PerkUp plan identified overarching goals and a broad scope of community and economic development objectives within this region. PerkUp has strategically and successfully addressed the initial goals, expanded the education programs, and broadened the focus of community development.
Although PerkUp is now a separate 501(c)3 corporation, it continues to be supported by the UPV Chamber through leadership and goals. Education has always been a priority for The Chamber, but PerkUp has accelerated those efforts and taken the commitment to a higher level.
