The following is a brief description of Chamber committees open to member involvement. Please take a minute to review them and consider volunteering your assistance to serve fellow members and our area communities.
Ambassadors Council
Welcomes new members and encourages stronger involvement of the full membership. As designated ambassadors at Chamber functions, Council members make introductions, cultivate relationships and pursue networking opportunities. Community & Business Expo Committee plans and organizes the Expo which is held in the spring. This committee meets from January through May. Golf Outing Committee Plans and organizes the annual UPVCC Golf Outing and Clambake held in September. This committee meets February through October. Marketing & Membership Was established to grow the membership by promoting the value of our strong network. |
Intermunicipal Council
Encourages dialogue among municipalities and business leaders to broaden views and enhance awareness on business issues that will impact our communities. Legislative Affairs Council Meets monthly with local, state and national elected representatives and/or staff to discuss legislation and governmental regulations affecting the business community. The Council sponsors informational forums with legislators and candidates for elected office. As an advocate for business, the Council hosts Intermunicipal Council meetings 3-4 times a year to learn about local business development and to encourage dialogue among municipal representatives. Program Development Committee Meets monthly to plan, coordinate and evaluate monthly breakfasts/lunches, seminars, happy hours, and other networking opportunities. |
